INNOACE is a project co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Interreg V-A Spain-Portugal (POCTEP) 2014-2020 Programme, aimed at strengthening the business landscape, creating synergies among enterprises and R+D+i centres, carrying out transfer actions and the early validation of products and services through open innovation processes. Furthermore, INNOACE intends to foster the entrepreneur discovery process in key areas of smart specialisation of EUROACE (a group formed by the regions of Alentejo and Centro in Portugal and the Autonomous Region of Extremadura in Spain).

WHO WE’RE AIMED AT

INNOACE is aimed at economic stakeholders who intervene in areas, strategic sectors and/or niches of opportunities which are shared by the three EUROACE regions.

To do so, the partners participating in INNOACE have analysed the RIS3 strategies (smart specialisation) in each region. And therefore, we know that sharing knowledge in areas such as agrofood, health, tourism, natural resources and the environment, and ICT can help us stand out and grow.

HOW WE DO IT

INNOACE is implemented through three activities:

• ENTREPRENEUR DISCOVERY: By fostering structures and tools for technology-based entrepreneurism and knowledge transfer to enterprises in key areas of smart specialisation of EUROACE.
• OPEN INNOVATION: By creating a favourable environment for collaboration between Knowledge Centres and Enterprises with R+D+i.
• CO-KNOWLEDGE: By encouraging cooperation as part of the open innovation process, getting companies, knowledge centres and the facilitating technologies necessary involved to share knowledge and promote co-creation.
